A MAN was taken to hospital after a Mini was involved in a crash in Colchester last night.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in Layer Road after the incident at around 10.10pm.
A man in his 20s was taken to Colchester General Hospital with head and neck pain.
Sgt Colin Shead tweeted a picture of the wrecked Mini and a damaged car parked at the side of the road:

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a road traffic incident at 10.12pm last night on Layer Road, Colchester.
"An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended and treated a man in his 20s with suspected head and neck pain.
"He was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further care.
"His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening."
The police confirmed one person was reported for careless driving but no arrests were made.
