THE family of Danny Myers this afternoon described him as a "loving son, brother, dad and partner".

Mr Myers died after being stabbed at an address in St Osyth, early on Monday morning.

His family today issued a tribute to the 23-year-old.

In a statement they said: "The family are devastated and in shock. They can't believe what's happened.

"Danny was a good boy, a loving son, brother, dad and partner.”

Mr Myers, from Enfield, died after he was found stabbed at a home in Rochford Road.

Kevin Paddick, 34, unemployed, of Rosemary Road, Clacton, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.

A 29-year-old woman from Clacton who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released from custody without charge.

A post mortem examination has shown that the victim's cause of death was a stab wound to his heart.

Police had been called at 4.45am and officers tried to save his life.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the victim until the ambulance service arrived.

"He was taken to hospital, where he sadly died a short time later."

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: "I was very shocked to hear what's happened and to see policemen on the home's doorstep."
