A HUNDRED-pound saving is up for grabs now the Essex Energy Switch has been extended.

Residents now have until March 20 to sign up for an instant quote and take advantage of extra savings this coming year.

Nearly 6,000 people in Essex have already registered for the scheme and at least 140 Tendring residents are set to save up to £100 if they take up the offer.

Councillor David Finch, leader of Essex Council, said: “Thanks to the 6,000 Essex residents who have already registered, we are now in an exceptional position where we can extend the exclusive offer out for even more residents to take advantage of - what’s not to like about this scheme?

“Don’t forget you can also get an offer on behalf of relatives, who may not have access to a computer.

"Let’s see if we can succeed in achieving an even bigger saving for Essex, compared with previous years.”

This is the fourth Essex Energy Switch. The previous three campaigns have led to savings of more than £2million.

Anyone who pays for gas or electricity is eligible to receive an offer, which is free and takes less than five minutes.

You are also under no obligation to switch providers once you receive an offer.
