COLCHESTER is at the top of the charts when it comes to the most popular town destinations this Easter, according to a survey.
Coach operator National Express says its advanced bookings show Colchester to be the third most popular town to visit by coach in terms of passenger numbers.
Thousands have booked to visit the town between April 14 and 17.
Attractions drawing visitors are likely to include Colchester Castle, Colchester Natural History Museum, Colchester Zoo, and the Lion Walk Shopping Centre.
The UK’s top Easter city destinations, according to National Express, are Bournemouth and Blackpool.
National Express managing director Chris Hardy said: “Colchester is a superb town to visit with so much to see and do, so it’s great to see it being so popular with tourists and families who are travelling by coach this Easter.”
