VIDEO: Cat plays 'catch the police tape' as Storm Doris causes havoc across Colchester
WHILE 64 homes were evacuated, trees fell down across the borough and roads were shut off completely thanks to Storm Doris, at least one four-legged Colchester resident made the most of the situation.
A cheeky cat, believed to be Katie Newcombe's ginger tom Eugene, enjoyed a game with a police officer standing guard in St Andrew's Avenue this afternoon after the road was taped off.
The cat and the officer bonded over a game of 'catch the police tape' and reporter Chad Nugent caught the episode on camera.
Katie said: "He is a very silly kitty."
