WORK to create a new restaurant development in Stanway is about to start.

Roadworks are set to take place within the next week to create Stane Park off London Road.

Traffic signals will be put up while the new entrance to the development is built. They are expected to remain until April 14.

Stane Park will have a pub, four restaurants and a coffee shop - with Nandos, Coast to Coast, Bella Italia and KFC among the businesses due to move in.

It was originally turned down by Colchester Council but a planning inspector overturned the decision and allowed it to go ahead last summer.
