A DRIVER led police on a high speed chase up the A12 before overturning his car and being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Three Essex Police officers were injured when stopping the grey Audi A5 after it failed to stop for them going northbound at Colchester.
They chased it over the Suffolk border before the car ended up on its side.
The three officers were taken to hospital before being discharged. It is not thought their injuries are serious.
The driver and passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution before being taken into custody.
Essex Police said a 30-year-old man, from Ealing, was arrested for failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. He was additionally arrested on suspicion of two offences of attempted murder on behalf of Suffolk Police.
A 22-year-old woman from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs.
