A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a man who carried out a campaign of abuse against a primary school.
David Lawrence was originally sentenced after making a series of false and unsubstantiated allegations about Walton Primary School and headteacher Suzanne Bliss.
It is alleged Lawrence has not been attending probation appointments required as part of his community order.
Lawrence, who appeared in court in February, posted social media messages to and about the school falsely accusing them of child abuse.
The 44-year-old admitted sending offensive, obscene and indecent messages to the school and was given a community order.
Lawrence, of Oakwood Avenue, West Mersea, continued his behaviour and in June he admitted repeating the same offence.
This time he was given a new community order and a restraining order was issued banning him from contact with the school or its headteacher.
However, he contacted the school again and was fined in August for breaching the restraining order.
On Friday he was due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court but did not attend court and magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest.
