A COMMUNITY centre has undergone a £60,000 makeover.

Residents were invited to see the new-look Langham Community Centre in School Road on Saturday.

The building now has patio access for disabled visitors, a new kitchen, new roof light and electric blinds as well as a fresh lick of paint.

The three month project happened thanks to grant money from Cory Environmental, Essex Community Fund and Langham Parish Council.

Liz Winter, the secretary for Langham Community Centre, thanked the generous donors.

She said: “We expect our cleaner, greener and more disabled-friendly centre to provide an even more pleasant experience for local clubs and organisations.”
