A RAPIDLY-GROWING company is set to give Colchester a major jobs boost by recruiting 150 people in the next year.

Cloudfm is one of the country’s fastest growing companies of its type.

Facilities management is the integration of processes which allows a company to keep on track and deliver its services. This could include providing administration or technical support.

Cloudfm has just opened a new two-story headquarters on Severalls Industrial Estate.

The luxury office will be home to a state-of-the-art training centre as well as the company’s administrative functions.

Their existing premises at Oyster House is being retained and used as a technical helpdesk.

The company was launched five years ago with just four people working out of a back garden shed.

Now the firm boasts big name clients including KFC, Pizza Express, Ask, Zizzi, Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse, Wolseley and Poundland.

The growing number of household names who are in their portfolio of customers is the reason behind the company’s rapid expansion and need to employ more people.

The firm currently employs 225 members of staff and is recruiting at a rapid rate of 20 per month. The new intake in the next year will see their numbers boosted again.

Chief executive officer Jeff Dewing said he was delighted to see the development in the company.

He said: “Such growth is a fantastic boost to the local economy and has offered lots of employment opportunities for local people.

“Cloudfm is expanding in leaps and bounds and our headquarters is testament to the great service we’re committed to giving our clients.”

The new office, which will be known as Cloudfm House, adds to the company’s current portfolio of buildings which features a Harlow office for Cloudfm’s shutters and doors division which is due to open later this month. An office for critical spares opened in Nottinghamshire and the company also has new premises in London.
