THE victim of a bar brawl could need plastic surgery, his older brother has claimed.

A man was kicked in the head and his face was cut following a row in the beer garden at Silk Road in Colchester.

The older brother of the victim posted the incident on Facebook, which police are investigating.

It happened at the bar in St Botolph’s Street, Colchester, just before 3am on Saturday.

CCTV from the bar captured an image of the alleged attacker and was also posted on Facebook.

No one has been arrested.

The Facebook post, on the Spotted Colchester page, read: “My little brother got kicked in the head and had a glass smashed in his face for no reason on Friday night and now needs plastic surgery as a result.

“All caught on CCTV. If anyone can name [...] it would be appreciated.”

Bar boss Osman Rasih confirmed an incident took place and had spoken to the victim since.

He posted the CCTV image to help with the appeal but said he did not want to comment further.

Mr Osman said the victim would not want to speak to the media directly.

Emergency services attended the incident which happened in the beer garden.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “Two men got into an argument and one of the men jumped on top of the table and kicked the other in the head.

“The victim was left with cuts to his right eye and a broken nose and was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.

“CCTV has been handed over to Essex Police and the investigation is on-going to identify a suspect.”

He added: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Colchester on 101.”

The East of England Ambulance Service was not called to the incident.
