THREE people were left trapped in their cars after a smash near Clacton seafront.
The crash happened in St Paul’s Road, just after 3pm.
Police, ambulances and fire crews were called to the scene, and firefighters were forced to cut the roof off one of the vehicles to free the casualties trapped inside.
The road was closed off while the casualties were treated and debris was cleared.
