A CHARITY held a bear fair to mark World MS Day.

MS-UK, which supports anyone with MS and their families, hosted the event in Colchester Castle Park.

Visitors could meet the charity's mascot Myles and join the 5k park run through the castle grounds to raise money for Josephs Court, the charity's wellness centre.

One of those taking part was Peter Mason, who said: "I acquired a traumatic brain injury in December.

"I know it's still early days for me but I'd like to try to start to give back for all the help I'm receiving.

"MS-UK Josephs Court is helping me regain my fitness. They are not just a gym for people with MS but for other neurological challenges."

World MS Day aims to raise awareness and give support to people living with the debilitating incurable condition.
