A HIGH Street night spot will be re-launched with the help of a former Celebrity Big Brother housemate next month.

Reality TV star and model, Jeremy McConnell, will party with fans at the new Atik club in the High Street, Colchester, which opens on June 3.

Club owners, The Deltic Group, have spent £400,000 on revamping the nightclub with 17 party booths, a main dance arena and a separate illuminated dancefloor.

The former Liquid Envy club closed for refurbishment on April 23.

Jeremy is best known for his appearance on MTVs Beauty School Drop Outs, and on Channel Five's Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.

Atik's general manager, Nick Jackson, said: “We are delighted that Jeremy will be joining us for our opening night.

"He’s really looking forward to meeting his fans and helping us launch the party weekend in ‘big’ style.

“We are going to raise our game, whilst not alienating our core audience.

“With three rooms of music including a brand new retro room, a new cocktail list, an extended range of craft beers, the very best DJs and a refurbished main room we are confident that Atik will be a big hit.”

The Deltic Group operates 58 clubs and bars across the UK and employs 2,000 people in full and part-time positions.

The club's re-opening will create up to 50 full-time and part-time jobs in Colchester.

The first Atik club was launched last year in Oxford, followed by Windsor.
