COMEDIAN Eddie Izzard is returning to the Colchester Arts Centre to perform his Force Majeure show not once but three times.
He's doing the show in French, German and in English over three 45 minute shows as a way of demonstrating his support for the 'Remain' campaign in the EU referendum.
Eddie said: "I first performed my show three times, in three hours, in three languages in Caen, Normandy on the 70th anniversary of D-Day. It was to honour those who fought for freedom and democracy in the Second World War and since then. I continue to perform my 333 shows all around the UK to show how far we have all come since those dark days. Never forget. Stand and fight for Europe - do not run and hide from it."
The internationally-renowned stand-up will be at the Church Street venue on June 13 when he will be performing in German at 7pm, in French at 8pm and then finally in English at 9pm.
Tickets for the first two shows are on sale in the usual way through the Colchester Arts Centre website or by calling the box office on 01206 500900 but for the English show the venue has set up a special draw.
Arts Centre director Anthony Roberts added: "For the English show we think the fairest way to do this, rather than first come first served (which crashed the system last year), is by inviting people to put their names into a Grand Draw. The Grand Draw will be done live in the Arts Centre on Sunday May 22 at 6pm.  Each successful person gets two tickets.
