A WOMAN was trapped in her car following a three- car crash in Felsted.

Firefighters were called to cut her out of the car in Station Road at 7.12pm last night.

Two teams from Dunmow used a hose reel jet at the scene and police assisted them.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Police were called at 7pm following reports of a three-vehicle collision. 

"Officers went to the scene to find a black Honda CRV, a white Triumph Vitesse and a black Hyundai X35 had been in collision. 

"The ambulance and fire services also attended and the drivers of the Triumph and Hyundai were treated for injuries not seen to be serious."

Two ambulance crews were called at 7.07pm and treated a man with a head injury. 

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were sent to Station Road near the A120 junction near Little Dunmow. 

"A man in his 40s was treated for a head injury. No critical care was required and the man was taken to Broomfield Hospital for further treatment."

It is not known at this time what injuries were suffered by the other driver. 

Police are currently investigating the cause.
