EVERYTHING a bride and groom need to plan their perfect day was under one roof at the Gazette’s highly-anticipated wedding fair.

Hundreds of fiancees attended with their bridal party for inspiration and one-off promotions.

The first 200 brides through the doors of the Charter Hall, Colchester, were gifted with a goody bag and had the opportunity to win hampers packed with prizes.

Newsquest Essex events co-ordinator Kelly Roast said: “The day went brilliantly and there were lots of new ideas which went down really well. Seeing all the happy couples is great, that’s why we do it, and for the exhibitors.

“As organisers we get our satisfaction knowing we’re doing a good job. We always strive to react to feedback and put in place what the customer wants the following year.

“Some couples want something non-traditional so although it’s not necessarily what we’d want at a wedding we have to think outside of the box.

“We’ve already started planning for October’s show on Sunday 2.”
