Motorbike enthusiasts are being asked to come forward in the hunt for a missing pensioner.

Two motocross events were being held in the Sible Hedingham area on October 25.

Gordon Wilson, 82, who has dementia, was last seen in Halstead Road sometime between 2pm and 4pm on the same day, when two motorcyclists and a pedestrian stopped to help him after he fell over.

The first event was a GH Enduro Funday organised by GH Motorcycles at Foxborough Quarry in Sible Hedingham.

Dale Gladman, a member of Sudbury Motorcycle Club and sales person at GH Motorcycles said: “We were contacted by the police to send an email to those who attended the event.

“The event that we held was quite select so there weren’t that many people there.

“We sent the email out yesterday.

“I don’t know if the police have had anyone contact them about it.”

He said the event ran between 9am and 1pm, with most people having left by 2pm.

A second event was held by Halstead and District Motorcycle Club in Wakes Colne.

The club has not been contacted by police.

Anyone with information about his disappearance should call Essex Police on 101.
