WRAP up warm and take the kids to watch some dazzling fireworks in Essex.

1. FIREWORKS will light up Colchester’s skies at the annual Castle Park display.

King Coel’s Kittens Fireworks Spectacular will take place on Thursday, November 5.

Entertain will begin at 6pm, followed by the parade and the display from 7pm onwards.

Tickets, which cost £8.50 for adults and £4 for children, are not available on the door and must be bought in advance from Colchester Visitor Information Centre or the Mercury Theatre.

2. PREPARATIONS are under way for the Basildon Round Table fireworks display on November 5 at the Holy Cross Recreational Ground, Basildon.

Tickets are £5 in advance, or £7 on the night.

The tickets will be available online from October 19.

All money from the event goes back into the Basildon community.

3. SHOEBURY Big Beach Bang will make a return this year.

The fireworks event, which sees pyrotechnics launched in a display on East Beach, has been organised for Saturday, November 7.

Organised by Southend Round Table, tickets are now on sale for the event.

Tickets are priced at £5 online, or will be available for £6 on the gates of the event.

4. Once again the skies of Billericay will be brought to life with fire and sparkles as Billericay Round Table celebrate Guy Fawkes Night on Saturday, 7th November 2015 with the 46th annual bonfire and fireworks extravaganza.

Held in the grounds of Lake Meadows Park, Billericay, which provides a magnificent backdrop over the lake for the grand display.

As well as a huge bonfire and a £21,000 fireworks display again in 2015, there will be a live roadshow provided by Heart FM, with hosts Martin and Su lined up to introduce special guests including X Factor’s Lauren Platt. There will also be a variety of food and drink available on site throughout the evening.

5. GET ready for a dazzling display of fireworks at this year’s Mayor’s Charity Firework Spectacular.

Saturday, October 31, will see a fully choreographed display take place at the King George’s Park in Brentwood, all in aid of Mayor Mark Reed’s nominated charities, the Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra and the Special Needs and Parents.

Mr Reed said: “We are not holding the event on November 5 as a local primary school is holding a display that night and we hope people can do both!

“We really hope families will come along to support us, which will also help to reduce the number of private, individual displays around Brentwood, which can be dangerous and a hinderance to neighbours.

“Of course we will be raising lots of money for local charities too.”

The display starts at 7.30pm.

All tickets are £5 in advance or £7 on the door.

Family tickets (two adults and two children) are priced at £18 or £24. Free parking is available at Brentwood Council High School, Brentwood Town Hall and Brentwood Preparatory School.

6. MALDON’s Bonfire Night and Fireworks Display will soon be underway.

The Rotary Club’s annual spectacular will take place at Promenade Park, on November 7 from 6pm.

Music and entertainment will begin the celebration, followed by the lighting of the bonfire before the fireworks kick off at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from various high street retailers and the Tourist Information Centre on Wenlock Way.

7. BRAINTREE’S annual Fireworks Display will soon be underway.

The Rugby Club’s annual spectacle will take place at the Beckers Green grounds, on November 5 from 5.30pm.

Music from Funky Voices and entertainment will begin the celebration, followed by the lighting of the bonfire before the fireworks kick off at 8pm.

Price is £6 for adults and £4 for children.

8. RESIDENTS are invited to attend a Firework Fiesta on Canvey.

The 20-minute display will start at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 7 at Waterside Farm Showground, Somnes Avenue.

Admission by ticket only, gates open at 6pm.

9. CHELMSFORD Round Table is hosting a fireworks night on Saturday, November 7.

From 7.30pm, Admiral’s Park in Rainsford Road will be the setting for the extravaganza.

There will be a DJ, bar and street food as well a funfair.

10. MARSH Farm will host a fireworks event on November 7. 

The popular attraction, in South Woodham Ferrers, is organised by The Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers. 

Starting at 6pm, there will be a torchlight procession and a bonfire lighting ceremony before the fireworks at 7.15pm.

Entry to this event is by programne only which can be purchased in advance or on the gate. The proceeds from this event is to support local charities and worthwhile causes.

11. BELCHAMPS Scout Centre in Hockley will be holding a fireworks display this year. 

As well as fireworks on Saturday, November 7, there will be a huge bonfire and loads of stalls.

12. The Rayleigh Lions Firework Spectacular will be held at the King Georges Playing Field Rayleigh on Saturday, November 5.

13. Fancy staying further away from the fireworks? Come to Thameside Nature Park in Thurrock and watch the firework displays taking place in the surrounding areas from the visitor centre rooftop viewing platform.

The Starlings Tea Room & Gift Shop will be open so you can also watch the fireworks going off in South Essex & North Kent through the panoramic windows . Please note that there will be no fireworks being launched from Thameside Nature Park itself.

The event runs from 6pm until 9pm on Saturday, November 7. 

14. Danbury Fireworks, brought to you by the Friends of Danbury Scout Group, will be held on November 7. 

The 1st Danbury Scout Group has been organising a firework display since 1968. Held at Danbury Woods (postcode CM3 4DT) it will start at 5.30pm with the display kicking off at 8pm.

15. Fireworks will light up the sky in Halstead next month, as part of a joint fundraiser by Richard de Clare school and Halstead Town FC.

The display will kick off at Halstead football ground in Rosemary Lane, with gates open from 5.30pm and the display at 6.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children aged four and over.

Refreshments are available, please do not bring sparklers.

16. Saturday, October 31: The Prince of Wales 25th Annual Fireworks Display

Celebrate Bonfire Night and Halloween at the Prince of Wales in Stow Maries, only a short distance from Chelmsford.

It’s the pub’s 25th annual fireworks display and judging by previous years is sure to put on a good show, with the pub claiming it will be their ‘biggest ever’ display.

There is also the added attraction of spooky fancy dress in honour of their Halloween party and other entertainment. Adults £7 and children £4.50 in advance. £9 and £6 on the day.

Gates open at 6.30pm, display at 8.30pm and music until late.

17. Thursday, November 5: The Friends of Rettendon School Fireworks Display

The Friends of Rettendon School Fireworks Display will be held at the Lazybones Bootsale Field Attractions include a food court, bar, facepainting and fairground attractions at the Lazybones Bootsale Field.

Gates open at 6pm, display at 7.30pm.

Advance tickets £4, from Meadowcroft Garden Centre in Old Woodham Road, The Bell in Rettendon and The Scrummy Yummy Cake Co in South Woodham Ferrers.

Tickets on the night £5.

18. Friday, November 6: Chelmer Valley High School Fireworks Spectacular to Music

Held at the school in Court Road, Broomfield.

There will also be a bar, food stalls, amusements and rides with a fairground happy hour between 6pm and 7pm.

Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start at 8pm.

Advance tickets: Adults £7, children £3 Entry on the gate: Adults £7, children £4.

19. Friday, November 6: Holly Trees Primary School, Brentwood. 

The school’s Family Fireworks Night will have a Guy Fawkes competition and entertainment as well as glow toys and food on sale.

Advance tickets: Adults £5, children £2, under twos go free.

On the door Adults £6, children £3.

20. Orsett Showground off the A13 will host a fireworks display on November 5. 

Entry: £7. Under 5's £2. Free parking.

21. A firework display will be held on Thursday, November 5 at Great Clacton Junior School with the gates open at 6-30pm - adults charged £5 and children £3 - there will be a bbq, music, and much more - monies raised will be for the PTA.
