A PETITION calling for safety measures on a road plagued by speeding drivers has been signed by 1,061 oeioke.
The petition calls for speed ramps and flashing 30mph signs on Low Road in Dovercourt.
Valerie Vincent, of nearby Chaffinch Drive, set up the petition with friends and neighbours who were concerned "reckless drivers" would cause a serious accident.
The petition has been handed to Harwich and Tendring councillor Ivan Henderson, who will present it to the Highways Panel meeting at Tendring Council's Weeley offices on Thursday, October 22.
