A DRUG dealer who boasted selling cocaine was “easy money” has been forced to sell his possessions from prison.

Darren Sadler, 37, of Rotary Way, Colchester, is serving an eight-year sentence for dealing in Class A drugs.

When police asked him why he did it, he replied: “It’s such easy money and such an easy life.”

An investigator has looked into his financial affairs to calculate what he had made from the illegal activity and what could be recovered under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Judge Christopher Ball QC has ordered he must pay back £6,367.39.

Sadler told the court his car had been sold and he would hand over the money to go towards what he must pay.

Police raided Sadler’s flat last July and found a kilo of cocaine, £3,000 in cash and a list of his customers.

They found another £1,000 on Sadler, who admitted possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Chelmsford Crown Court.

The cash has already been seized.

At the time, he was serving a seven-year sentence out on licence.

He had been jailed for possession to supply 1.2 kilos of cocaine in 2009.
