A COUPLE are preparing to push themselves to the limit when they take on a triathlon for charity.
Chanel Lassman, 24, and James Dyer, 26, who own Safari Childcare, in Halstead Road, Colchester, will take on the Ironman challenge inWales next month.
They will cycle 112 miles, run a marathon and complete a 2.4-mile swim sea to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Chanel, from Billericay, said: “We think it’s amazing people go over and fight for the country.
They deserve to be looked after.”
The couple originally signed up to do the London Marathon, but did not get a space.
So they decided on a whole new challenge, and have been training since Christmas.
Chanel said: “We’re nervous, but really excited. We’ve got a lot of people coming down to support us. We just don’t want to let anyone down.”
To raise sponsorship money they will be doing a charity car wash at the nursery on Sunday, August 16.
It will run from 10am until 2pm and will cost £5 per car.
