A care home has been told to improve after major staff changes “threatened the stability” of the service.

Foley House, in High Garrett, requires improvement in its care, safety, effectiveness, leadership and responsiveness after Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors visited the home at the beginning of June.

In a report published this week, inspectors said that the loss of a director, manager and other senior staff had led to existing staff feeling more pressure with added responsibilities, giving them less time to deal with residents.

The home, which provides support and accommodation for up to 21 people, is currently being run by a board of trustees and a recruitment drive for a new registered manager is ongoing.
