Braintree students got into the party spirit as they celebrated the end of school at their prom.
Pupils from Notley High School, in Notley Road, dressed up to the nines to enjoy a night of food and dancing at Grade I listed mansion Boreham House on Thursday.
Stylish and wacky entrances to the venue included arriving on a tractor’s trailer, a fire engine, a classic Buick Roadmaster and on the back of an old-fashioned motorcycle.
Olvia Coughlan, who had her left leg amputated in November along with part of her pelvis after she was diagnosed with a cancerous bone tumour, was crowned prom queen.
Lewis Armstrong-Kirton was named prom king.
Chris Newman, Year 11 leader, said: “The night went really well. It was great to see them all dressed up and looking like young adults.
“They all enjoyed themselves and it was a lovely way to finish their time at Notley and to prepare themselves for the summer and a lifetime ahead of them.
“There were a few unique entrances, including an ice cream van and a horse and cart, plus lots of classic cars and limousines.”
A full two-page spread of pictures will be in Thursday's Braintree Times.
