A disability campaigner who has a rare condition which means she faints every time she stands up is determined to have disabled women fairly represented in fashion by taking a campaign to Parliament.

Chelsey Jay, of Magnolia Close, Witham, previously lived an active lifestyle, by working as both a trainee nurse at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and a part-time model.

But after being struck down by Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS), the 24-year-old is now all but permanently confined to a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

The condition means her heart rate speeds up every time she stands up, causing her to pass out.
