Man rushed to hospital after Colchester flat fire
FIREFIGHTERS have helped save a block of flats after a fire in Blenheim Drive.
Crews were called to the Colchester flat at about 11.30am today.
Half of the flat was on fire and it was filled with smoke.
A 28-year-old man was taken to Colchester General Hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
The fire was put out after about 30 minutes.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is being carried out.
