A VIDEO which aims to convince businesses that Essex is “the place to be” has had its first screening.
The short film, commissioned by Essex County Council, was shown at an Essex Means Business event on Wednesday.
It features businesses and attractions from across the county, including Layer Marney Tower, Think BDW while its soundtrack was composed by 18-year-old Colchester Institute student Jake Crawford.
Kevin Bentley, Essex County Council cabinet member for economic growth and infrastructure, said: “Essex is an amazing county.
“We’ve got it all – advanced manufacturing, biotech industries, logistics, a thriving creative sector, offshore energy, business and finance.
“We have two world class universities, helping us to provide the skills need by our business, transport links second to none and an incredible track record of innovation.
“This film brings all these threads together and blows away all stereotypes of Essex.”
