A GROUP which provides unemployed people with work and training opportunities is refreshing its base at the oldest church in Colchester.

GO4 Enterprises is hosting a relaunch event this weekend.

It will feature a Spanish Bodega, a vintage hair and nail salon and also live music.

GO4 Enterprises uses profits from its cafe – open since 2013 – to support their work, serving freshground coffee, homemade pastries, cakes and light lunches.

The various market shops also sell a range of goods, from antiques and furniture to ceramics and paintings.

The organisation supports anyone who is unemployed, working with groups such as charities, job centres, the probation service and local authorities.

Individuals are helped to develop personally, improve their skills and overcome their disadvantages.

The market is based in the Holy Trinity Church, in Trinity Square.

Director Jim Howard, who runs GO4, said: “We knew we had to change the layout because the cafe and market have grown so much, and with the addition of the Bodega Bar we felt it was time to shake things up a bit.

“The new look gives the opportunity for the building to shine as it is now more open down the centre of the church.

“We are proud and honoured to be in this gorgeous building.”
