A fundraising group has raised more than £850 for a cancer charity by organising a quiz night and fish and chip supper.
Some 92 people attended the event at Great Notley community centre, which was organised by the Braintree fundraising group for Marie Curie.
Chairman Deborah Wyatt said: “A very enjoyable evening was had by all, we were entertained all evening by the quiz master, Vince Salter, who sang and danced his way through the evening.”
The group will also host a Blooming Great Tea Party fundraiser on July 5 from 2pm to 5pm, as well as a musical evening with the Braintree male choir on October 10.
Both events will be held at the Great Notley community centre.
