Sir- Reports that NHS managers have been awarding themselves 6% pay rises, bonuses, and in some cases engineering early pension lump sums, makes awful reading.

Particularly as front line staff are desperately trying to run the service these 'managers' are being paid to organise on no pay rise at all.

Here in Worcestershire, the recent drafting in of an emergency medic to A&E, shows how desperate the situation for hardworking staff is. And this medic was called in by ambulance bosses, not Harry Turner and co.

I think its time Mr Turner, and his seemingly never ending list of managers, open up about how much their pay and bonuses have changed too.

This is a national problem, but in view of the difficulties in local care, which they are paid to manage, I think we need to know.

Now.
