EXPERT beekeepers believe Essex is buzzing while the rest of the country goes quiet.

One in ten bee species are facing extinction, according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

No less a mind than Albert Einstein believed the end of bees meant the end of us within four years.

So it is probably good news to hear members of Essex Bees have no concerns.

A spokesman for the group said the insects make a beeline to Essex due to the climate and rural areas.

The banning of 81 pesticides by Essex County Council has also helped.
