RANGERS are hoping to cash in on their progress to the last 16 of the Uefa Cup after buying the broadcasting rights to the second leg of the fixture with Osasuna.

Television companies wishing to broadcast the crucial second leg in the Reyno de Navarra Stadium in Spain on Wednesday, March 14, must now pay Rangers, not Osasuna.

It is only the second time in the Ibrox club's history that they have bought the rights to an away match in Europe.

There are no Champions League games that midweek and the Glasgow giants are hoping to maximise their profit from the game against the La Liga club. Revenue from the fixture is expected to exceed £2million.

Meanwhile, the Ibrox club have only been handed a paltry 1300 tickets for the second leg of the Uefa Cup clash with Osasuna.

Osasuna general manager Angel Vicay has told Rangers their Reyno de Navarra Stadium only holds 19,800 supporters and they cannot allocate any more briefs.

Rangers will have Osasuna watched this evening in the second leg of their Spanish Cup tie with league rivals Getafe.

Coach Jose Angel Ziganda is expected to field a weakened team as his team trails 3-0 from the first leg. He said: "Our priority is the league."
