ABOUT half of the 175 pupils at St Teresa's Primary School, Dumfries,
are showing symptoms of dysentery, a health board spokesman said
yesterday. Since the outbreak was confirmed last week, tests have
revealed 15 pupils are affected by the shigalla strain of the illness.
Nithdale's environmental health department is continuing to investigate
the outbreak.
