Harwich MP Douglas Carswell has taken a break from the turmoil in Tendring's Tory party by going back to school.
Mr Carswell was at Burrsville Infant school, in Craigfield Avenue, to help children at the Schoolfriend after-school club.
The club is part of the largest charity provider of childcare, which also delivers breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs across the country.
Mr Carswell said: "I'm really excited by what they are doing. Its really important for the wellbeing of the school."
