A TEENAGE starlet will ‘go the ball’ after being cast as Cinderella in a new Hollywood film.
Holly Parker, 14, is the envy of her peers after being chosen to play a 13-year-old version of the rags-to-riches Disney Princess.
The Colchester Academy pupil stars in the live-action version of the beloved 1950 cartoon, directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh.
“It’s amazing, like a dream come true,” she said.
“I had my own trailer, a handmade white dress and a team of people doing my hair."
Holly was put forward for the role by her modelling agency. She made the final three before being personally chosen by Mr Branagh.
The big-budget film stars Downton Abbey’s Lily James as the titular princess who escapes the clutches of her wicked step mother, played by Cate Blanchett, to attend a ball with Prince Charming.
Holly, who also acts with the Mercury Youth Theatre, appears in one scene as Cinderella grows up.
Her siblings, Autumn, 12, and Stanley, 10, will also appear as extras in the film and were 3D scanned so they could be duplicated in crowd scenes.
The family were made to sign a confidentiality agreement by Disney bosses until now.
Cinderella is due out in America on March 13 and in the UK on April 5.
