TWO men have appeared in court after 40 cannabis plants were found in a former council building.
The drugs were found in a property in Waddesdon Road, Dovercourt, on October 3.
Michael Vilka, 34, of Clayton Road, Ramsey, and Spencer Orchard, 41, of Regimental Way, Dovercourt, appeared before Colchester Magistrates’ Court charged with producing a class B drug.
Orchard was also charged with abstraction of electricity.
Neither Vilka nor Orchard entered a plea during the appearance on Thursday.
They will next appear before Chelmsford Crown Court on March 9 for a plea and case management hearing.
They were both released on unconditional bail.
