FRESH claims have been made by people who may have been abused by a paedophile doctor.

Dr Myles Bradbury, 41, was jailed for 22 years after admitting abusing 18 victims aged ten to 16.

He was based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and ran clinics at Colchester General Hospital.

Det Supt Gary Ridgway, from Cambridgeshire Police, said many forces were working together and files on potential victims have been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service.

He said: “It would be naive to assume we know the full scale of what he did. We are determined to make sure we have given every possible opportunity to victims to come forward, speak about what they experienced and find justice.”

By the time police raided his home, Bradbury had destroyed his laptop in an attempt to hide his abuse of sick children.

Since he was jailed on Monday, it has emerged he may have exaggerated the extent of the illness being suffered by some, so he could continue his sexual assaults on them for longer Some of his victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have chosen to speak out.

One said: “I am now anxious to go to the doctor because I don’t knowwho I should trust.”

Another said: “When I was going in there he was meant to be checking my joints and instead he was making me strip down and checking my private parts.”

Bradbury’s name was on a database of 2,300 people found ordering DVDs of child sex abuse online. The names were handed to British authorities by Canadian police in July 2012, but they were not passed on to UK forces for more than a year.

About 35 people on the list came from Essex while others, like Bradbury, had links to the county. Several are being investigated and the names have so far included teachers and doctors.
