A DISABLED couple were fined for not doing their weekly shopping quickly enough.

Joyce and Ivor Woraker, both 85, were fined £40 after staying over the 90-minute limit at Aldi’s car park, in Lexden.

Mr Woraker is recovering from a heart attack and Mrs Woraker walks with two sticks after two hip replacements.

Their daughter, Carolyn Mc Keever, 60, of Allendale Drive, in Copford, challenged the fine.

She said: “It is fair to say they are not the fastest up and down the shopping aisles and both of them have to stop for breath every so often.”
