THE family of a baby girl whose organs were donated to save four lives have been given an award in her honour.
Diamond Roberts, from Colchester, was nine months old when she was killed in a crash in Thorrington in August last year.
Her organs were donated to children in need of transplants – and they saved four lives.
Diamond has been awarded the Order of St John Award for Organ Donation.
Her mum, Crystal Osbourne said: “It was a huge honour to have Diamond’s name on something so meaningful. It helps me to know that, although I have lost my baby, four other children are able to live on, thanks to her.
