CHATTY man Alan Carr will try out new material in an exclusive gig at Colchester Arts Centre next week.
He has chosen the venue, in Church Street, to test his jokes for his forthcoming UK tour.
Carr will be reading his gags from a script and will make notes of which ones to keep and chuck away depending on the reaction.
Anthony Roberts, Colchester Arts Centre director, said he expects tickets, costing £22.50, to sell out fast.
Alan, who is best known for his Channel 4 talk showChatty Man, will be performing on Thursday, November 6, at 8pm.
Tickets are limited to two per person.
