New bishop becomes patron of Colchester Foodbank
COLCHESTER'S new bishop Roger Morris has become the patron of Colchester Foodbank.
The foodbank distributes food to people in crisis and it was the first project Bishop Roger saw when he visited the Colchester area.
He said: “I am honoured and delighted to be a co-patron of Colchester Foodbank.
"Its work is something I feel passionately about. I am really pleased that so many people in Colchester have become involved from donating food to volunteering.
“I am also greatly heartened that, thanks to the work of Colchester Foodbank, the people in greatest need have the care, support and resources they need.”
