Suspicious flat fire in Colchester
AN investigation has been launched following a fire in a flat in Colchester.
Firefighters from Colchester were called to Avignon Close shortly after midnight this morning.
When they arrived the flat was smoke logged and they spent 20 minutes putting out the flames and clearing the smoke.
Crews, using breathing masks and a hose managed to save the surrounding flats before clearing the smoke with a high pressure fan.
