A BIKE has been stolen from the bike racks at Creffield Medical Centre.

The Carerra bicycle was taken from the Cavalry Way surgery sometime between 8pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday.

The chain was cut which was securing the £300 bike.

The owner said: “I am a student working hard in order to save some money for my postgraduate studies.

“It is not an easy job as there is no transport during the early morning hours and every day I need to cycle nearly 10km.

“I know this is something small to many folk but this bike was my only means of transport to get to work each day and I cannot afford to replace it.”

Anyone with information call Colchester police station on 101.

Sorry to hear about this, but you cannot leave an expensive bike out in the open all night every night in the same place, in plain sight of criminals, no matter how good the chain. The student would do well to buy a cheaper bike and then keep it indoors overnight.
Good luck to him though, hope he gets it back, but it is unlikely.
