A teenager was rushed to hospital after he was involved in a collision with a bus in Colchester.
Ambulance crews were called to Greenstead Road, near Tesco’s Hythe branch, at about 3pm today.
A rapid response car, ambulance and the Essex Air Ambulance all attended the scene to treat the 14-year-old boy.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The boy collided with the windscreen of the bus and was treated for abdominal and hip injuries as well as cuts to his face.
“His condition isn't thought to be serious but he was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment."
