New paramedics recruited to help fill gaps

NEW recruits have taken to the road to help fill paramedic vacancies in the east.

Nine paramedics and an emergency technician took part in a passing out ceremony and will now be saving lives, including in Essex.

Course leader Gideon Chilton said: “The work ethic of the participants, combined with the diversity of their previous experiences meant that everyone had a point of view to bring to the table.

“The enthusiasm displayed by everyone was of the highest standard and each of them deserves credit for the encouragement and support that they gave to each other.

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them all and wish them all the best in their careers with the Trust.”

The two week course, on top of paramedic training, gets them ready for life at the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

The ambulance service is attempting to recruit hundreds more paramedics to improve response times and services.

As well as direct entry programmes such as these there is ongoing paramedic recruitment with 350 signed up for courses out of 3,500 applications this year.

Obviously they are waiting for new uniforms to arrive. I don't suppose for a minute they will be allowed on the road without them.

Do you have to reduce everything? Always a sarky comment, never anything positive.

I see a bunch of people who are dedicating themselves to saving lives. You see some individuals not wearing uniform.

Tell me, what useful function do you perform. And apart from your fictitious claims about being in the armed forces, what have you actually done to serve your fellow man?

You have a lot of opinions on a lot of things, like your alter ego/pal Norris (AKA This Year) but no actual KNOWLEDGE or experience of any.

When I comment, it is usually due to my involvement and/or experience or at least research, of a subject.

What are your opinions based on, other than your obvious cynicism about the efforts of other people? Oh and the bilge you dredge up from Google, 99.9 percent of which is fictitious, about myself... and your old pals hearsay and conjecture. (Look it up in the dictionary).

LoL, though at least the one far left has tried to make an effort, having no doubt bought her own medic looking trousers...
Good job the army dont attend their passing out parades in a similar manner. What a joke, though it may be just the tip of the iceberg, ambulance ? we haven't any, go to that shed, two to a stretcher...

Your involvement may be a figment of your imagination!
It is a shame that you don't comment on the issues rather than attack individuals for having a personal view, having expressed your own!

Stick to the story and stop attacking folk like silly kids in a playground.

always a red thumb from me!
