A FOUNDATION has announced it is giving £10,000 to a young man with two brain tumours who is fighting to stay alive.

Reece Hawley, 21, of Clayhill Road, Basildon, has been appealing to the NHS to pay for life-extending treatment after it cut funding for a drug he needs.

The Tom Bowdidge Foundation, in Colchester, announced this morning it would be donating £10,000 to Reece.

His family and friends are desperately trying to raise £2,000 a week to pay for the life-extending drug.

People are quick enough to comment on the negative stories on here, so fantastic work by the TBF on this one.

Having read about Tom's own fundraising during his later life, the foundation and Tom's parents deserve immense credit for such a kind donation.
