Firefighters released two people who were trapped in a car after it collided with the shop at a petrol station.
The green Ford Fiesta collided with the shop at the BP petrol station on the A12 Southbound at Junction 23, Kelvedon, at around 12.50pm today.
Petrol pumps and the power supply to the shop were both isolated as crews worked to release the people in the car.
Two fire engines from Witham were sent to the scene and crews used two sets of cutting equipment to free both women by 1.46pm.
They were left in the care of the ambulance service.
It is not believed that they were seriously injured.
A police spokesman said no pumps were hit but the forecourt was sealed off.
