TRAIN services through Manningtree and Colchester have been disrupted because of an obstruction on the line.

Network Rail engineers are working to fix the problem which has been caused by a fallen tree coming into contact with power lines.

Abellio Great Anglia services into Manningtree and Colchester stations are subject to delays of up to 60 minutes with a number of replacement buses now being dispatched to Colchester.

All lines are now open but delays and cancellations are expected until 1pm.

A safety inspection is being carried out between Harwich Town and Manningtree stations which is also expected to cause delays.
