MILITARY enthusiast Nigel Everett has been showing his Second World War truck at rallies for 25 years.
He never expected it would inspire a scale model.
Mr Everett, 57, bought the RAF Scammell recovery vehicle for £320 in 1978 and spent the best part of a decade restoring it before his first rally, in 1989.
Unbeknown to him, Oxford Diecast had received a picture and created a 1:76 scale model.
Mr Everett, from Dedham, said: “It was quite striking really when I looked at it. The reason I recognised it was the registration number.
“I suppose they must have taken pictures of it and made it from them.
“It’s strange really, because there are so many interesting vehicles at these rallies and yet mine has caught the eye.”
