ECO-FRIENDLY primary school pupils are celebrating after being labelled ‘outstanding’ by green charity Eco-Schools.
Brinkley Grove Primary School, in Rawlings Crescent, Colchester, was assessed by the charity last month Assessors spent a morning with children and staff, examining how sustainable the school is, before delivering their decision.
Lorraine Mitchell, headteacher, said: “We are thrilled about the recognition of our hard work and look forward to keeping our Green Flag flying high.”
The school was initially given Green Flag status in 2012.
Schools are re-inspected every two years.
